Fraser Montgomery, at The Aviary Recording Studio, has created a wonderful project to celebrate Melbourne’s incredible scene of songwriters and musicians. He assembled a gang of Melbourne’s finest to record an album, straight to 2" tape, where each artist covered another artist's song. Every artist arranged and interpreted the song in their own way, brought it to the house band on the day and recorded it. It’s a bit great, ain’t it?!
The album is now available as a limited edition vinyl or digital download.
Melbourne is a big fish in a small pond, and the respect the music community holds for each other's songs and musicianship has been displayed in a record of mutual appreciation, showcasing the quality of performers and writers we have here in our little corner of the world. With this record we have shown that we can do it our way, with our own studio sound and deliver an exciting and timeless album for your listening pleasure.
